What's the bucket for then, Penny for the Deafth-Guy??, you've not got to sit in a pushchair as well, 'ave you???
The bucket job is for an organisation I work with - campaigning to have sign language in all schools. Depleted funds mean we have to shame ourselves with buckets and rattle a few coins. Even Comet is being roped in to show his tricks. Oh dear.
That's why i was asking you a while back whether sign-language was universal... i was thinking that it should be something that was taught at an early age. Kids would love it; it'd be like a secret language - some would get bored with it, but none the less it's something they would remember, If only to use it to swear at theior parents! ... and others would really get into it and pick it up and develop it.
Once again short sighted discriminatory education policies - meanwhile they want to make witches hats pinker and fairy costumes blacker so that black people don't start thinking they're evil --- Fuxake
Ahh the sign language - universal universe language of the dead Gods! Point a finger in one direction and you soon have conformed masses looking in a monocled direction too! The whole thing got buggered up from the Milan 1880 Convention when the dredges of scums running asylums decided that handflapping was just too much of a distraction dictated that NO NO MORE HANDS. It didn't take long before the asylums were at breaking point then the damned missionaries decided to open up the deaf and dumb institutes. What remains today of deaf clubs are legacies of those days and people like my mum being caned in class for signing. This led to a generation of fingerspellers who would face the teacher but have a beady eye watching the fingerspelling under the desks. Even today those fingerspellers, who are dying out, are really amazing to watch and I haven't a blinking clue even with a strobe light! These days there's no officialdom interested in the beauty of signing but plenty of research cash for stem cell research, cochlear implants and DNA annihilation etc which will wipe out deafness. A genocide legally sanctioned by the upstairs people. This is one of the reasons why music or those deep sonaric rumbles afflict me because it is the only language I know that can reach the hearing masses. Whether it will work doesn't really matter but to have fun with authority along the way!!! I am awkward and the barb in your paper cut! Deafnoise 4th Oct 2011
